Ms. Tiffonia Lamar

Hello, Rocky Ridge Elementary families.

I’m Ms. Lamar, your certificated library teacher.  I live in Puyallup with my dog, Daisy. I often babysit my nephews and niece, and look forward to adding to my furry family.

I started my teaching career almost 23 years ago in a 4th-grade classroom, but my love for books led me to become a librarian.  While working in the Bethel School District, I have been a Technology Specialist, teaching common sense media lessons, computer coding, iMovie with green screen, and much more. I am looking forward to students creating digital stories and increasing their love of reading all genres and sub-genres.  I believe that reading is one of the keys to unlocking imagination and creativity.

I enjoy reading, walking Daisy, watching documentaries, and traveling. I am looking forward to a happy and exciting new year.
