Ms. Tiffonia Lamar

Hello, Rocky Ridge Elementary families! I’m Ms. Lamar, your librarian and technology teacher, and I’m excited to help foster a love of books in every student. I live in Puyallup with my dogs, Taiyn (aka TaiTai), Blossom, and Zooey.

I began teaching over 23 years ago in a fourth-grade classroom, but my love of books led me to become a librarian. While working in the Bethel School District, I’ve also taught lessons on genres and subgenres, the Dewey Decimal System, Common Sense Media, iMovie, computer coding, Green Screen, digital escape rooms, AI, Clips, and more as a technology specialist and librarian. Reading is one of the keys to unlocking imagination and creativity, and I love sharing that with students.

Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my dogs, reading, traveling, and watching historical and nature documentaries. I’m looking forward to a happy and exciting new year at Rocky Ridge!
