Mrs. Wendy Bartholomew

Hi! I am Mrs. Bart and I have been a certificated teacher for 20 years, mostly in kindergarten and 1st grades. I am one of our school's Intervention Specialists and I am going into my 7th year at Rocky Ridge!  I have a bachelor’s and master’s degree from PLU in elementary education and an endorsement in mathematics.

My husband and I will celebrate our 24th anniversary in September (2024). Our daughter, Kira, is a recent BHS grad and currently attending Pierce Community College. Our youngest daughter, Miley, is currently at BHS. We love spending time outdoors, especially working in the yard, going on camping trips, bike rides, and walking our dogs.  And I can’t wait to see our Raccoons!

Some of my favorite things include: gummy bears, Sparkling Ice, Smart Pop, sloths, winter, and lime green.  My favorite school subject to teach is reading. (I love watching kids “get it” when they are reading!) Some of my favorite books are: Elephant and Piggie, Pete the Cat, and Pigeon.
